We are happy to tell you about DoveVivo's latest challenge in Spain, transforming a new iconic building from the second half of the 19th century into co-living!

A jewel set in the pulsing heart of the Malasaña district

The palace is a jewel set in the beating heart of Madrid's Malasaña district, an area that combines fashion, culture, entertainment, shopping and many places to eat.

The privileged location offers the possibility of taking a walk through the most emblematic streets of the district, immersing oneself in the multicultural and festive atmosphere of the barrio, carving out time for cultural activities such as visiting the Museum of Romanticism or the Archaeological Museum.

The palace, designed and built for the Marquis of Villa Magna in 1864, is a historical monument, a child of Spanish neoclassical architecture. The building will undergo a complete renovation and reopen its doors with a new concept of residence, combining the charm of history with a modern vision and the comfort of new technologies.

History and Design - sharing and privacy go hand in hand

The 2,700 m2 building will consist of 67 rooms. It will house university students and young workers who will enjoy the benefits of coliving, combining a desire for privacy and community, quiet spaces to study and work alongside the city's fun.

The building's existing architecture will be faithfully respected and protected, including valuable elements such as the grand marble staircase, stained glass windows, frescoed ceilings and interior decoration. In addition, the rooms will have all the comforts, including private bathrooms and common areas such as the coworking, kitchen and gym.

The environment respects the guest's privacy but creates perfect opportunities for sharing, such as the two terraces, perfect for relaxing and studying, which offer panoramic views of the centre of the Spanish capital.

Irene Trujillo, Country Director of DoveVivo in Spain, commented: "We are very proud of this strategic operation on which we have worked intensively. We have sought to redevelop the building by bringing new value to the city's real estate heritage and the demand for quality spaces".

Valerio Fonseca, CEO of DoveVivo, adds: "Spain was the first country we bet on in our international expansion plan. In light of the growth of our business in recent months, we can say that it was a successful move. We will continue to work hard to maintain and strengthen our leadership position in the Spanish market".
